The Philippi Center
The Philippi Center helps families and individuals heal and rebuild their lives after a major life crisis. Mental health professionals and trained volunteers provide a therapeutic setting in which grieving children can get the help they need without feeling like they have been in therapy. We bring the magic of horses into the untouched places in those in need of healing, support, change, or growth.
The Magic of Horses
There is just something bigger than life about horses, especially when they interact with humans.

The magic of horses makes them uniquely suited to the sacred journey to the wilderness of the soul. By nature, horses tend to keep a healthy distance in any relationship, offering a hurting child the space needed to work through their emotions with acceptance rather than expectations. Their silent companionship can be just what a child needs after a loss. |
Help for Kids and Families
The Philippi Center serves families and children through its own programs, as well as through partnerships with area non-profits and community service agencies, meeting needs that none of us could meet alone.
